About Us

We are simple people. Our vision and mission statement and company purpose are also simple – to solve pest problems for people in a safe and efficient way.

This means we attend conferences, we research, we experiment and we adjust as the pests, the control tools and the regulations change. We put the safety of our people, our clients, their kids and pets and neighbours and property, first. Then we figure out how best to actually solve your current pest problem and prevent future ones. Oh, and we try to be friendly and nice and helpful about it too!

We are a full service structural pest management company with many years experience. We have the knowledge and dedication to solve any pest problem you may have. We encourage you to bring us your hard to solve problems as we do enjoy a challenge from time to time!

Our Founders

Brett Johnston started his pest management career many moons ago in Calgary and has worked in the Okanagan, Vancouver Island and Metro Vancouver as a front line technician, trainer, supervisor, General Manger, etc. Brett has been a Director and President of the Structural Pest Management Association of British Columbia, and has delivered training sessions to the pest management industry as well as property management and hotel industry groups. Brett likes nasty, hard to solve pest problems, as well as the wide variety of sometimes strange and interesting people who have them.

Melanie Johnston also has over 20 years pest management experience – she has been a technician, trainer, sales representative, research assistant and Office Manager overseeing all administration and accounting functions. Melanie has a BSc. Degree from Simon Fraser University in Environmental Science and she has served the Structural Pest Management Association of BC for many, many years. And after all this time she still hates spiders!
